Here’s your daily reminder that time flies: Bastion, one of XBLA”s most critically acclaimed titles, originally launched five years ago as part of 2011’s Summer of Arcade. To celebrate the game’s wood anniversary, developer Supergiant Games is re-releasing the game on Xbox One. It won’t just be some backwards-compatible port; the game has been completely rebuilt and updated for current-gen. The new and improved Bastion will have new achievements, include the Stranger’s Dream DLC and run at a full 1080p (improving on the original’s 720p) .

Bastion for Xbox One will release December 12 for $15. As a thank-you to fans, it will be available for free to anyone who purchased the original on Xbox 360. The offer lasts until January 1, 2017.
