Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury
From the developers of such hit titles as: Gunstar Heroes, Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga comes Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury. Players are tasked with piloting a mecha suit and defeating enemies. Seems easy enough? Think again, the enemies are as strong as you, if not stronger, and come in multitudes of 10+. Good luck, you’ll need it.
Developer: Super Giant Games
Bastion is the first title from Supergiant Games, an original action role-playing game set in a lush imaginative world, in which players must create and fight for civilization’s last refuge as a mysterious narrator marks their every move
Developer: The Behem0th
BattleBlock Theatre is the next game from XBLA powerhouse, The Behemouth, who was behind the very successful titles Alien Hominid HD and Castle Crashers. Having shipwrecked on a mysterious island you find yourself both betrayed by your best friend Hatty and captured by the locals. All of this is happening while being forced into deadly performances. This however, is just the start of your problems.
Developer: Pop Cap
You’ve got 60 seconds to strategize, match and detonate as many gems as you can. Create cascades of fun with Flame gems, Star gems and Hypercubes. The challenge is irresistible!
Beyond Good and Evil
Players take on the role of Jade, a spunky photographer, as she ultimately attempts to take down the Alpha Sections for they are (possibly) helping an alien race take over the planet. Players will invade secret facilities, investigate disappearances, and even float the seas on an airboat. Featuring updated character models, textures, soundtrack and added achievements; this is surely an adventure you won’t want to miss.
Bionic Commando 2
Nathan “Radd” Spencer is back to face his biggest challenge yet, General Sabio, a tech-savvy villain. Spencer, equipped with his trademark Bionic Arm and his new found ability to jump, will attempt to stop Sabio’s deadly missile attacks. It will be interesting to see if jumping can make this game play completely different than it’s predecessors.
Boulder Dash XL
Developer: First Star & Catnip Games
Popular 1980s classic Boulder Dash comes to XBLA bringing along with it faithful core gameplay and updated graphics. Boulder Dash XL has players mining against the clock to find scintillating jewels, dodging a variety of enemies, and keeping a look out for falling boulders. Players will be able to engage in more than 150 levels with a variety of worlds and games modes including: Arcade, Puzzle, Zen, Time Challenge and Retro modes.
Breach brings first person modern warfare gameplay to the XBLA boasting a robust environment destruction system, both run & gun first person and a one-button third person cover system, unlockable content including perks and gadgets, and five playable classes. Quite the mouthful. All of this will go down in three objective-based gametypes including Infiltration, Convoy and Retrieval, as well as a basic Team Deathmatch mode.
