What we are playing is a weekly column that appears each weekend. Various staff members let the world know what games had them hooked the past week and which ones they look forward to.

Ryan Reynolds
– I poured the most time into Halo: CE Anniversary‘s campaign. Two levels to go. It feels like every single section brings back a classic co-op memory I had from ten years ago. I’ve also been playing Battlefield 3 online and had some more multiplayer fun with Gears of War 3. I need to try those new maps! Finally, I’m extremely excited to say that I’m now able to play the Diablo III Beta and I’m loving it.

Steve Melton– Cleared my way through the Flood to save the universe. I love Halo Anniversary, but unfortunately some of the game’s glaring issues just poke through to me. I still love it and it’s a definite buy, but I’m not on the “343 has proven they can handle Halo” bandwagon. The number of bugs we’ve encountered in co-op this weekend leads me to still be skeptical.

Andrew Crews
– This week I finally managed to finish Dungeon Defenders. At 130 hours, Dungeon Defenders is by far the most time-consuming XBLA completion on my record. Aside from that, I started Renegade Ops. It’s a fun game thus far and I enjoy the light amount of customization elements the game has to offer. If it ever goes on sale, this game is definitely worth a quick run through the demo.

Damon Fillman– Finally got my Xbox Live account back so I’ve been playing Gears of War 3 non stop. I’ve also been playing a game with a young elf who wears a green tunic. I know, I know–I’m a traitor.

Ross Adams– I got into the Star Wars: The Old Republic beta weekend, so pretty much all my weekend from Friday afternoon onwards has been spent playing that. I’m loving it, it isn’t revolutionary by any means but Bioware have made a very solid MMO and the addition of voice acting makes a huge difference. Going to be having some serious withdrawals when my testing time is up.

Todd Schlickbernd– I picked up Super Meat Boy and Deathspank: The Baconing during the XBL Appreciation sale, so I’ve been enjoying those. Mostly SMB actually, I’m about halfway through the third world and beating the scores of many XBLA Fans staffers. Other than that, I’m 98% done with Saints Row the Third, soon it’ll be the first time I’ve ever 100% completed sandbox game or a non-Halo retail game.
