What we are playing is a weekly column that appears each weekend. Various staff members let the world know what games had them hooked the past week and which ones they look forward to.

John Laster – I’m currently in the middle of my first taste of NoFunVember. Law school finals are no longer creeping up but running toward me. I’m still dabbling in Skyrim during what little freetime I have. Once they are done, I’m going on a massive gaming binge. Oh and Thanksgiving is my birthday!

Steve Melton – Picked up Assassin’s Creed: Revalations on Tuesday, finished it by Friday. I haven’t gone on that big of a gaming binge in a long time. Fun game, but I wasn’t interested in multiplayer so I traded it in for future credit.

Nathan Bowring – After a week of many triple-A titles, all I played was the only XBLA release, Xotic. It is one of the most original first-person shooters I have played and proof you don’t need to spend $60 to play a good new release.

Perry Jackson – While I picked up Saints Row: The Third and heavily enjoying it, I find it hard to put down Skyrim. After upwards of 40 hours, I still continue to find stuff to do and that’s incredibly rewarding. Not to mention the first time you see your horse AND a giant help you take down a dragon, it’s pretty amazing. Now give me new Zelda!

Ryan ReynoldsBattlefield 3 is serving as my main stay as far as multiplayer games right now. I also finished Uncharted 3‘s campaign and I just started Halo CE Anniversary. Loving the nostalgia and subtle homages they included. I bought Modern Warfare 3 but I literally haven’t touched it yet.

Todd Schlickbernd – Oh the games, so many games! My November purchases have been Skyrim, Saints Row: The Third and Halo CE Anniversary, all of which I’ve played quite a bit and in that order. Skyrim is beyond awesome, SR3 is a little smaller than SR2 but ultimately better all around, and Halo is…Halo. It’s fun, it’s hectic, and I’m sorry universe but Hang ’em High is STILL A HORRIBLE MAP!

Ross Adams – Played through most of Halo CE Anniversary with my co-op buddy, it’s a pretty great update of the game, the new engine they’re using it really pretty. Also played some Firefight and multiplayer with Todd, we are pretty good, if I do say so myself! Saints Row: The Third arrived and I spent pretty much my entire Friday playing it, so much fun! Looking forward to playing some co-op with that too.

Christine Mitchell – I’m back at work now but still finding time to play lots of Oblivion. I think I will need to add Skyrim to my Xmas list now.

Damon Fillman – I’m about 50 hours deep in Skyrim and I want more. Just finished the main quest but I think I may take a break a jump into Skyward Sword for a bit.

Bishop Tart – I’m making my way through Need for Speed: The Run right now, and thoroughly enjoying it. They included a story that I think lacks a lot of depth, but if it receives a sequel, I think it would be a fantastic game. I’m also playing an insane amount of Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, with “Kill Confirmed” being my mode of choice. I believe I’m now level 47, 1st Prestige. I can’t wait ’til next week, Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 3 releases for the Xbox 360. And yes, I’ll be playing it on day one. DON’T JUDGE ME!
