What we are playing is a weekly column published on Sunday. Select members of the team talk about the games they’ve been playing over the past week and which they’re most looking forward to.

Chris Leggett – After a week overseas, I’ve finally caught up with the rest of the world in checking out Halo 4. I finished the campaign a couple of days ago, and I’m hoping to play through the available Spartan Ops episodes this weekend, with some obligatory multiplayer on the side, of course. I’ve also found myself oddly fascinated by Peter Molyneux’s latest, Curiosity.

Matthew Smail – Since returning from holiday I’ve only had a couple of evenings free for gaming. Even so, I’m loving Dishonored and I’ve been revisiting 3 or 4 XBLA games for a great upcoming feature!

Nick Santangelo – This week was all about two of the Xbox’s biggest holiday games for me: Halo 4 and Assassin’s Creed III. I finished the campaigns on both of them and played a lot of Halo multiplayer. Ubisoft’s effort had several strong points, but overall I felt the game was the worst in the series since the first one, and the less said about its ending, the better. Halo 4‘s campaign was pretty damn good, but CE remains the best Halo campaign there is. In any case, did anyone else notice how both Halo’s _____ and Assassin’s Creed’s _____ essentially had the same plan to turn _____ into _____?

Scott Baker – I’ve been pressed for time, but my iPhone has stuck it out with me thanks to Great Big War Game from Rubicon Entertainment. Think Advance Wars, but with good writing and better mechanics. A must-have for strategy fans out there.

Ben Fisher – Still slaughtering Pandoran mobs in Borderlands 2. Also, enjoying the single player campaign in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Brandin Tyrrel –  Cleaned up some remaining Halo 4 Spartan Ops and Campaign achievements in the calm before the Black Ops 2 storm. Strangely though, I’m not having any fun in Black Ops 2 multiplayer. It’s fast and frenetic and that’s fine, but it’s not as methodical or as tactical as its namesake. I expect to be back in Halo 4 before too long. There are flags to capture and pews to pew.

Justin Mellor – Well, I am coming off of my fourth red ring of death, and glad to have my Xbox back up and running. Finishing up co-op missions for Double Dragon: Neon (Stay tuned for the review!), and of course playing a bit of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and starring at NHL 13 waiting to be opened on my desk!

Your turn.
