Xbox Live’s Major Nelson announced the remaining releases for the month of March today via his blog.  March 16 brings Full House Poker to the marketplace, an avatar-based casino that many have described as the next 1 vs 100.   It will retail for 800MSP and feature avatar awards, online play and Windows Phone 7 connectivity.

March 23 brings two releases to the marketplace.  The first title, Swarm, looks to be incredibly unique.  Often drawing comparisons to Pikmin and Lemmings, the player controls up to 50 swarmites at a time who are searching for DNA in order to keep their race alive.  1200MSP will buy the full version of the game, and gameplay is expected to last several hours.  The second title, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, is a twin-stick shooter featuring cooperative gameplay for up to four players.  The game is a followup to 2009’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game and features all new characters.  It’s listed for 800MSP.

The 30th of this month yields three new 800MSP releases, Islands of Wakfu, Seisou Kouki Strania and Rush’n Attack: Ex-PatriotIslands of Wakfu features vibrant colors and design and is played from an isometric perspective.  Seisou Kouki Strania as a shoot-em-up’ that lives up to the genre’s name.  Nothing like filling the screen with bullets, right?  Finally Rush’n Attack: Ex-Patriot is a 2.5D game in the vein of Bionic Commando Rearmed and Shadow Complex.  It’s set 15 years after the Cold War and puts the player in the shoes of a soldier who is, shall we say, handy with a knife.

All things considered it looks like this year is going to be a monumental one for XBLA.  Given the quality of releases thus far and those coming up we can’t wait to see what Microsoft has in store for Summer of Arcade.  Time to go pick up some Microsoft Points.
