Brawler Week Challenge #2: Confessions of an XBLA Addict -Ended-

Until a month ago I had never played Castle Crashers. This was always a painful admission on my part given my position within the industry, but I finally resolved the issue and sat down and played the game. I loved it (as did Ross). If you haven’t played Castle Crashers we highly recommend you check it out. We have some awesome guides (animal orbs, characters and items) to help you out.

Here is your challenge: Tell us what game you hate to admit you haven’t played.

Big Thrills Expansion Pack announced for Trials HD

Fans of Trials HD on XBLA have been clamoring for  more content, and it looks like their wish will be granted come quarter four. The Helsinki, Finland-based developer RedLynx has announced the next expansion for Trials HD, titled Big Thrills, is coming out later this year.

The Big Thrills pack will include 40 new tracks created by the developers, and as an added bonus, features 10 more levels created by fans using the game’s robust track editor. RedLynx will be holding a contest to decide which user created levels will make it into the expansion pack, the details of which can be found at BigThrillsContest.com.

“Ever since we released the first Trials HD expansion, gamers have demanded more,” said Antti Ilvessuo, the game’s lead designer and creative director of RedLynx.

“They email us every day, they post on our message boards, and lately they’ve started calling my house and chasing me down the street,” he said. “With this announcement, I can now emerge from hiding and get back to making games.

Trials HD retails for 1200 Microsoft Points, and already features one expansion called The Big Pack. It is also the only XBLA game I’ve gotten every Achievement for and continue to play, so if you haven’t already picked this one up, I strongly recommend purchasing it.

UPDATE: XBLA Fans Caption Contest: Win a copy of DeathSpank

So DeathSpank is coming to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday the 14th. And while we haven’t yet had a chance to play the final build, we were blown away by what we saw at E3. We’ve talked with some of the awesome people working on the game, and they’ve agreed to give us two codes for the game, which we are in turn giving to you all. Make sure to check out XBLAfans.com later this week for our official review of DeathSpank.

To win the code, please leave a humorous caption for our image in the comments below. We will pick a winner on Monday July 19th. You may enter once per day, but in order to be able to win, you will need to be a registered fan of the site.
