[springboard type=”video” id=”674947″ player=”xbla001″ width=”640″ height=”360″ ] With over a year of delays behind it, Gaijin Games’ Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow, February 27. Priced at 1200 MSP, the sequel to Bit.Trip Runner will feature five new worlds with many levels and unlockable items and characters. This will be the first game in the series to be released on XBLA. The trailer for Runner 2 touts the colorful graphic scheme and unique music and rhythm platform style that made the first game popular. Players will primarily play as Commander Video, racing across maps, dodging obstacles and collecting points as they progress through each level.

The game will be released across all major platforms; however, according to Gaijin Games, there will be a few build differences. While each game will feature leaderboards and achievements, XBLA users may experience slower load times in comparison to players on the other platforms. However, Gaijin will be making attempts to speed up the game in a future update.
