Playdead is one of the best developers on XBLA, even though it only delivered one title. Limbo was released as part of 2010’s Summer of Arcade, and its black-and-white world filled with mystery, death, and giant hotel signs is still on many gamer’s minds. Playdead’s follow-up, currently called Project 2, has been found on a list of projects being supported by the Danish Film Institute. The game’s description, translated from Danish, describes a game similar but much weirder than Limbo:

“Through unique puzzles and changing scenarios narrated the story of one boy’s struggle against evil forces through questionable experiments on human bodies, trying to take over the world.”

The game will be a 2D platformer set in a 3D world and, most shocking of all, it will be in color. The description lists multiple platforms for the game, including Xbox, but nothing has been confirmed. Color us excited, we can’t wait to hear more about what Playdead has been working on.
