Newsbit: USB storage capacity increased with new dashboard update

Most of you will already be aware of the latest imminent dashboard update and many of you are possibly already using it. What you might not know, however, is that Microsoft have sneakily also increased the USB storage allowance from 16GB to 32GB. Xbox Community Manager Eric Doty recently tweeted:

Cool fact about the Xbox 360 Update: You can now use USB flash drives up to 32GB to store games & content from Xbox Marketplace.

Great news for those running out of space on their current console.

Quick question.. does that mean I can now use 2X 32 gig usb sticks? Or does that mean its still 32 gigs max, just now one usb slot can use 32 gig (instead of the 16 max)?

It supports up to 3 USB drives through USB ports, so that should be 3x32GB max (don’t know if hubs work to add more, but I suspect they don’t). I know that more sticks work as I did a LAN party a few weeks ago and had more sticks in one console.
Thankfully I have enough space left on my 16GB for the moment, but the enlargement is welcome, though I don’t understand the limitation in the first place (I think it’s just to artificially provide larger sizes to sell at higher prices whenever they want).
