The Minecraft skin parade — no, not that kind of skin parade, get your mind out of the gutter! — continued today with Major Nelson announcing that the most popular game on XBLA will be receiving a pack of skins themed after the 2012 Summer of Arcade (SoA) titles on July 18. Xbox owners will be able to download the skins for free by flipping to the SoA section on the 360 dashboard. Skins for all five SoA games (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, Wreckateer, Hybrid, Dust: An Elysian Tail and Deadlight) will be made available for the 4J Studios port of Mojang’s world-building sim.

Minecraft, which will receive a major update tomorrow, has plenty of other skins headed its way in the near future. Skin Pack 1 will pack in 40 skins including the liknesses of Master Chief, Ms. Splosion Man and Banjo-Kazooie, among others. Whereas the SoA skins are going to be offered at the attractive price of nothing, this pack will set gamers back 160 Microsoft Points.

In other Summer of Arcade news, Nelson also revealed that Trials Evolution is going to get a free downloadable track inspired by an SoA release each week of the five-week-long XBLA promotion. A Tony Hawk track, Hangar, is first up in the queue. As with the SoA Minecraft skins, the handful of tracks will be given away for nothing.
