Mark of the Ninja stealthily hits XBLA on September 7

When was the last amazing Friday release? Fez? The Simpsons Arcade? Add one more to the list with Shank developer Klei Entertainment’s new, original title Mark of the Ninja. Klei Entertainment announced on its Twitter account that we’d be seeing the game on September 7. No price was announced currently but it looks like a 1200 MSP game but who’s to say with Shank 2 being 800 MSP coming out in February. You play as a stealthy assassin in this 2D side-scrolling action game, which is a far cry from the blood lust they’ve done with the Shank titles. Players will have to move stealthily through places and make precise kills in the shadows. Catch Damon’s PAX East preview and watch the shadows when this hits in September.

Looks like a fun game. I hope they go with the 800msp price point. I thought 800 was coming back, but I was wrong. 1200msp seems to be the norm again.

Was hoping this would just come out with absolutely no announcement, if only that wasn’t marketing suicide. Sure would be awesome though.

Also, I doubt this will be 800, but Shank 2 was 800 so maybe they’ll do it again. This seems like a more substantial game than Shank though, based on my time with it at E3.

September looking pretty good for XBLA games. Same week as Kung Fu Strike (and perhaps RAW?). Want to get all those titles so +1 for hoping this is 800pts as-well.

Your second sentence basically reiterates what I just said Todd haahah. But when I first saw it at PAX East (Cause I’m better), it definitely looked more polished than Shank and way more detailed so it seems more than likely it’ll be 1200. But it’ll be worth it since it looks/plays so freaking great.

That’s good to hear. I thought Shank 2 was good and a massive improvement on the first.
