It’s been a great March for XBLA according to a sales analysis over the month. Beyond Good and Evil HD got over 76,000 players in the month with Torchlight and their highest day sales and over 66,000 players in the first week. The big winner of the month was Full House Poker with over 90,000 players in the first week totaling up the month for 180,000. Hard Corps: Uprising and Bejeweled Blitz didn’t fare too much better in their second month only adding another 18,000 and 15,000 respectively. Overall, this year’s Block Party was about as good as last year’s with only with some games like Toy Soldiers and Perfect Dark selling better last year but a good block party nonetheless.

Other non-Block Party titles like Swarm failed to capture an audience with only 7,700 players in the first two weeks and counting despite our boy Nathan giving it a good review. Even more surprising was how well Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime did with over 16,000 players but the number might be a little much due to co-op and some of the players probably should have read Andrew’s review. Strania and Islands of Wakfu missed getting over 4,000 players where Strania is understandable but Islands of Wakfu looked much more charming and deserved more and Rush’n Attack: Ex-Patriot only got an abysmal 652 players.

In terms of games on sale, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX pushed the player count upwards to 190,000 players which is incredible to say the least but sadly Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on sale didn’t get many new players with another 12,000. Other games that pushed up sales counts were Raskulls and World of Keflings. The games on sale might’ve pushed some of the newer titles out of the water but it’s been an incredible March and a good Block Party this year for XBLA.
