There was a slew of Game Pass-related announcements today from the Inside Xbox show. The two-hour show came live from the showfloor at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Master Chief is Coming to Game Pass

Halo 5: Guardians is already part of the Game Pass catalogue, and soon too will the four-game anthology, Halo: Master Chief Collection. The Master Chief Collection will be making its appearance on September 1st, which is also when players should be expecting a very substantial update to the game. This update is due to bring Xbox One X enhancements to the title, including visuals upgraded to 4K UHD, with improved matchmaking, offline LAN capabilities, and shorter load times. The Master Chief Collection comprises the first four numbered Halo games, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4.

Browse the Game Pass Catalogue On-the-Go

Beginning today, you can download an Xbox Game Pass app for Android and iOS. Android users can find it in the Google Play Store whilst iOS users will have to jump through some hoops to register their interest through Apple’s Testflight service. The app is in beta on both platforms.

The app will let you browse the catalogue and even add games to your download queue on your Home console to make it easy to expand your game library, even while you’re on-the-go.
