In their latest update, Orcs Must Die! developer Robot Entertainment has yet again expanded the creative array of defenses available to the player. Similar to previously teased traps, the Spring Trap not only has the obvious purpose of springing groups of orcs into lava pits but also works quite well in combination with other defensive strategies. Robot’s video shows different implementations of the trap, including setting them up to launch orcs within the range of your own crossbow fire. Be sure to keep an eye out for this summer release and undoubtedly more coverage of the game’s features.

Awesomenauts seeks to live up to its namesake
Awesomenauts is game to that grabs your attention. Any company brave enough to put the word awesome in the title of their game deserves a following in our opinion. The game comes from Romino Games, the company behind the side-scrolling RTS Swords & Soldiers. We don’t know much about it yet, just that it’s an multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, which we assume means something akin to Super Smash Bros Brawl. Our reporters will have more information at E3, but for now we’ve got just enough to whet your appetite. Hit the jump for two additional screenshots and the full press release.

Gotham City Imposters has thug-like concept art

When Gotham City Imposters was announced, it sounded a bit strange for a first-person shooter where you play thug gangs inspired by Batman and the Joker. Our first bit of concept art paints a picture on what the game will look like. It does look like most of the characters just found some stuff lying around their house to make up a Batman costume and go out to make vigilante justice. Not to mention with what appears to be different character classes, very similar to TF2 and Monday Night Combat. Some of the press has already seen the game in action but there’s no video or screenshots of the game so they might be saving it for E3. One thing’s for sure about this game, we may or may not be wearing hockey masks.

The first trailer for Wrecked: Revenge Revisited (formerly known as Gas: Fuel for Fun) hit the web this morning. The game is from former Micro Machines developer 505 Games and has a strong tie to the classic series. Everything from the top-down, four car racing to the aggressive powerups screams spiritual sequel. From first impressions there are two major differences: it has a real world setting and it features current-gen graphics. Wrecked will feature a full single player championship as well as four player local or online play. To compare the trailer to the previous Gas trailer, hit the jump.
Blowing away enemies in Orcs Must Die!
Robot Entertainment certainly hasn’t been holding back in sharing bits and pieces of their upcoming game Orcs Must Die!, this time briefly delving into the Wind Belt. From the above video, the new mechanic allows for the player to blow back enemies in a forward arc. In addition, it shows the strategy game’s ability to combo different attacks, grabbing explosive barrel traps and launching them ahead like a grenade launcher. The combination of these two attributes is almost reminiscent of the Gravity Gun in Half-Life 2, which is a great sign for the gamplay variety in this summer release.
New Ms. Splosion feature: Multi-single-player
Twisted Pixel have revealed a new feature for Ms. Splosion Man, dubbed 2 Girls 1 Controller. Now before anyone’s mind goes into the gutter, let’s be clear on this: 2 Girls 1 Controller allows players to control two characters at the same time. Presumably the left stick and trigger control one while the right stick and trigger control the other.
It’s a great way to let players who prefer to play alone earn the multiplayer achievements. Still, ‘Splosion Man was tough enough solo and there’s no doubt they’re upping the ante this time around. That being said this might lead to more broken controllers than anything else
