Alien Rage Promo

City Interactive’s homage to the old-school first-person shooter, Alien Rage, finally has a release date for Xbox Live according to its official Facebook page, targeting October 18 worldwide. The sci-fi shooter was slated for a simultaneous launch on both PC and Xbox Live at the end of September, but saw the console version pushed back unknown reasons.

We previously covered the differences between between the PC and upcoming console versions, as news surfaced that the title would forgo cooperative and competitive multiplayer on the Xbox Live offering. It appears the overall scope of the game, which will now be a solely singleplayer experience, was scaled back – potentially causing the slight delay.

Pricing has not yet been confirmed, but it’s likely the console port will be comparable to the already-live PC version priced at $19.99 on Steam. However, with a reduced feature set – namely cooperative multiplayer – that number could come in slightly smaller.
